My first unsure attempts at "krusband". Krusband is Swedish for bands with ever-changing patterns. I'm not Swedish myself, but that is the word used in the instructional booked I bought from Master weaver Louise Ström. She is the one who made me dive head-first into trying to stop with repeating patterns and rather alternate them, so this is sort of a homage to her. It is said that a Master weaver will never repeat the same pattern twice, and I have to admit I did not achieve that. It was a good try though. It definitely requires a lot more attention and time than the repeating patterns that kind of get into your hands and start weaving themselves.
I know the colour choice is a bit bad. I never was really good with colours, so apologies that you can't really see the middle section because it contrasts badly to the undyed pattern thread. There is a pattern there though, I promise!
Done with 16/2 linen thread, 22 cards, 1 pattern thread, 2 background threads, 1 vacant hole. I'm far from as good as Louise, who weaves from her head, so I did have to draft all these beforehand and then just go between the patterns.
